Originally a husband and wife real estate duo, The Wellman Team began in Chicago. Sarah Wellman, a Michigan native, and Brian Wellman, who has been involved in the Saugatuck/Douglas community for over 20 years, determined the West Michigan lakeshore was the place to call home and launch their real estate business. They purchased an office in Douglas and have been transforming client relationships into long-lasting friendships ever since.

The Wellman Team originally worked with local brokers pointing hopeful homeowners toward beautiful waterfront properties, vacation condos and luxurious single family homes for sale throughout Saugatuck/Douglas, along the Kalamazoo River, overlooking Holland’s Lake Macatawa, and on Lake Michigan’s sandy shoreline in Port Sheldon. Their experience helping sellers obtain a solid return on their investment spurred the team’s growth through word-of-mouth referrals, each of them attracting clients with their individual strengths and real estate knowledge.

Sarah Wellman brings a comfortability to the process of buying and selling homes that allows her clients to feel at ease. She understands her clients’ priorities and works to exceed their expectations at every step. With an extensive background in finance and the mortgage industry, Brian Wellman puts his clients’ financial interests first. Whether it be a residential or commercial property, Brian’s years of experience in real estate matched with his dedication to clients provide an unparalleled standard of customer service.

In 2017, the Wellman Team forged their partnership with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Michigan and began adding staff to accommodate their rapidly expanding business. Real estate agent, Bradley Wisk, joined the team in 2018 and is excited to blend his expertise on the housing market and commercial properties with his vast network of connections throughout Grand Rapids and the lakeshore. This experienced and knowledgeable team looks forward to serving home buyers, sellers and real estate investors throughout West Michigan for many years to come.
